Henryville Marysville Tornado Disaster March 2012 Community Wireless

My friends at Community Wireless wanted to post some pictures of the devistation from the Borden / Marysville / Henryville / Chelsea Indiana Tornados.  The series of tornados took a very serious path that ran from Borden Indiana to Cincinatti Ohio and is said to have been on the ground for 45 minutes.  The tornado at some points was said to have had 2 tornadoes inside of one larger tornado.  This took a devistating toll on the communities and took a hard hit to the WISP Community Wireless.   A brief statement from Community Wireless

"It is a sad time for our communities that we are so heavily involved in.  We personally know many of the people in these communities as we operate in the communities where we live.  We are happy to find that some have a good sense of humor as their houses are piles of mere ruble.  It really is something to see that in the face of a disaster a community and neighbor communities have pulled together to help one another.  We are happy that the red cross, in exchange for putting they're flag on the tower, loaned us a spare generator in order to provide them, the BBQ tent, relief shelter and relief workers with free WiFi so they can keep in contact with their loved ones and other volunteers.  It is sad though that the generators have to be chained down due to the low lifes stealing from people allready."

Community Wireless also presented us with a series of pictures from the communities.

Cambium 11.2 Firmware Update

Cambium (Formerly Motorola) has released firmware 11.2.  We have ran isolated tests from 1 AP- Access Point and 45 SM's -Subscriber Modules.  We are running those along side 11.01 and 11.1.  We have found that the transition from 11.01 to 11.2 to be much easier as there are several bug fixes.
